What is Sidemount?
It originated as a configuration for advanced cave diving, as it facilitates penetration of tight sections of cave. Moreover, it allows easy access to cylinder valves and provides easy and reliable gas redundancy. Tanks can be easily removed when necessary. Thus sidemount is beneficial when operating in confined spaces and longer penetrations.
What is cavern diving?
Unlike open-water diving, cavern diving takes place in partially submerged caves where natural light reaches the entrance but does not penetrate deep into the cave system. Divers navigate through narrow passages, swim beneath rock formations, and witness stunning geological features, such as stalactites and stalagmites.
This course combo package prepares students to go on to Intro to Cave and Decompression Procedures.
