Diving in Playa del Carmen Options
Playa del Carmen offers exciting reef dives for beginners and the more advanced. Minutes from shore lies the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, second largest in the world! You can encounter pelagic marine life like turtles, rays, sharks and other creatures like, scorpionfish, octopus are more! A keen eye will help you discover all of the underwater beauty hiding on the Playa reefs.
The AM boat usually heads out to deeper sites with more current. The first dive is usually 18m/60ft – 35m/115ft. The second dive can vary depending on the conditions. This is ideal for divers with more experience or doing AOW or Deep Specs.

The C-53 Shipwreck is a deeper dive sites, perfect for Advanced divers looking for a little adventure. Dive sites are 70-80ft maximum depth and a stronger current invites pelagic creatures to venture through.
